This document supplements the Privacy Policy and explains which browser storage technologies are used by the website https://sync.trade and the help centre https://help.sync.trade (together, the "Site").
In short. The Site does not use web analytics, advertising trackers or visitor counters. The only cookie —
sync_lang— remembers the Site language you chose. On your first visit the Site shows a notice with the buttons "Necessary only" and "OK": your choice is saved and will be honoured if analytics is ever added.
1. What cookies and related technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the visitor's browser and receives back on subsequent requests.
Browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) is a mechanism that lets a website keep a small amount of data in the browser itself. Unlike cookies, this data is not sent to the server and stays on the visitor's device.
Roskomnadzor takes the view that cookie identifiers, IP addresses and behavioural data may qualify as personal data where they allow a specific person to be singled out. We therefore disclose below everything the Site stores in the browser — even what is not personal data.
2. What the Site uses as of the publication date

The sync_lang cookie is strictly necessary: without it the Site could not remember which language you want to read it in. It contains no visitor identifier and does not allow tracking across sites. The Site sets no other cookies — you can verify this in your browser's developer tools, on the storage tab.
Notice on the first visit. A bar appears at the bottom of the page describing what is stored in the browser, with two equivalent buttons — "Necessary only" and "OK". Either button closes the notice with one click; neither is pre-selected. Your choice is stored only in your browser and is not sent to the server. At present the choice has no technical effect, because there are no optional technologies on the Site: it is kept for the future (see Section 7). When a new revision of this Policy is published, the notice is shown again — you agreed to the previous text.
3. What the Site does not have
The Site does not use:
- web analytics or visitor counters (Yandex Metrica, Google Analytics and the like);
- visitor session recording (Webvisor, session replay, heat maps);
- advertising pixels or ad-network trackers;
- third-party social media widgets that set cookies;
- cross-site tracking or profiling of visitors for advertising;
- third-party font or script services: the Site's fonts and scripts are served from our own servers.
4. Data recorded by the web server
Regardless of cookies, on every request to the Site the web server writes technical details to its log: IP address, date and time of the request, the address of the requested page, browser and device details (user-agent), and the referrer.
- Why: keeping the Site running, diagnosing failures, protection against attacks and automated abuse, rate-limiting form submissions.
- Legal basis: clause 7 of Part 1 of Article 6 of Law 152-FZ — the Operator's legitimate interests in running and protecting the Site.
- Retention: up to 12 months.
These logs are not used for advertising, are not combined with visitor profiles and are not passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How to manage browser storage
5.1. Data stored by the Site can be deleted with your browser's tools: the "Privacy" section of the settings → clear site data. For the Site it is enough to clear the data for the domains sync.trade and help.sync.trade.
5.2. You can block sites from storing data altogether — in the browser settings or in private browsing mode. The Site will keep working: the language will be chosen from your browser settings each time, the intro animation will play on every visit, and the cookie notice will appear again.
5.3. To change a choice you made earlier in the cookie notice, clear the Site's data in the browser (clause 5.1) — the notice will then appear again.
5.4. Browser vendors' instructions: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Yandex Browser.
6. The Sync service in Telegram
The Sync service runs inside the Telegram messenger and does not use cookies. The data the Service processes and the legal bases for processing are described in Section 4.3 of the Privacy Policy.
7. If the composition changes
7.1. If the Operator connects a web analytics system or any other service that sets optional cookies, then before it starts working:
- this Policy will be supplemented with a table naming each file, its purpose, retention period and data recipient, and will be released as a new revision — meaning the cookie notice will be shown to everyone again;
- optional files and scripts will not run before the visitor consents: the notice mechanism already in place (Section 2) allows them only for those who chose "OK";
- for visitors who previously chose "Necessary only", analytics will not start;
- refusing will remain no harder than agreeing.
7.2. The revision number and publication date are stated at the beginning of the document. Earlier revisions are provided on request to info@sync.trade.
